The roads are narrow and the turns tight on the lower section where we stayed. Sites are tightly packed; pull thru sites are rather short. Cable channels are limited, satellite signal is chancy due to the trees; select your site carefully if you need satellite. Some sanitary connections are much higher than gravel parking pad requiring sloped drain pipe assistance to avoid "packing" of sanitary drain line. Cable TV connections are quite a way from the normal pedestal location. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet park, but some road noise. OK for an overnight, but would not want to stay here for more than that.

We stayed here for an overnight. We reserved our pull through site 2 weeks in advance, and when we arrived we could not fit in the space and were given another which was very tight. The entire park is congested, and I do not recommend trying to negotiate the narrow roadways with a big rig. Numerous tree scrapes are evidence that those before us had trouble getting through the tree lined roadways with vehicles overhanging, chairs, tents, etc. Everything is so crowded here. Satellite access is very iffy due to the trees. A great family campground with lots to do for kids.

This park is by far the largest private one we have ever seen. It’s an old farm of over 70 acres, about half of which is heavily wooded. Lots of sites for tent camping and RV’s. You won’t be too close to your neighbor here. Three A-frame rustic cabins in the woods also. Only 6 sites are true pull-thru type, with 50 amp power, generously spaced, and level enough to use without blocking. Pull-through sites are unshaded, so no problems with satellite access. Interior roads are gravel with gravel parking areas at nearly all sites. The park is about 2 miles from Summersville Lake, away from the noise of the jet skis and boats. Whitewater rafting on the Gauley River is nearby. The park has a variety of types of boats to rent for lake use, but you must tow the boat to the lake yourself. Lots of open space for kids to ride bikes or tumble down the mowed hillsides. Some kids' climbing/playground equipment. There is no pool. Wifi is poor and could probably improved if the antennas were raised higher than surrounding structures and parked RV’s. There is no cable TV. The toilets and showers are very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Quiet, there is little or no road noise here. Summersville has some shopping and restaurants, Lowe’s, WalMart and a real treat, Hardman”s Hardware; reminds you of Restoration Hardware but with real hardware. We enjoyed our quiet stay here and plan to return.

Very neat and clean park, one of the nicest we have ever found. Very tight spaces, mostly side-by side which means your entry door faces your neighbor's, but most sites have a buffer fence/plantings as a partial screen. You can actually touch your neighbor's coach from your window on the opposite side if you both park close to the utility connection point. We expected much more in a wi-fi system which was one of the worst we have encountered in the last 18 months. It is free, but so weak that we could not connect often as they have only a single antenna for the entire park. I much prefer a commercial [pay] service than a free one that is not usable. This park is not worth the high cost in my opinion.

This new park is excellent. Lots of room between sites, compacted gravel parking area, very open and clear for satellite reception. Great cable TV and wi-fi, both free. Great breakfast [donation requested] by RV volunteers on some mornings. Close to US Highway so there was some road noise until darkness set in. Three miles to Wal-Mart and some shopping. Deer were grazing within site of the park. Lots of room to walk pets. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here 3 weeks in January-February 2005 and thoroughly enjoyed this quiet setting. It is across the state highway from the casino & Marriott w/ hotel fitness room & pool accessibility [free] and free shuttle to casino. Park has its own heated pool and spa. Shopping in Fountain Hills about 3 miles away and Scottsdale about 10 miles. We watched cattle and horses free ranging outside the fence on the reservation. Regulars report that eagles land in trees just outside north fence line. Lots of room outside fence to walk pets. We would not stay here or anywhere in the Phoenix valley in summer. Cable TV is expensive as is the laundromat, but we used local antenna & satellite. Views are outstanding. Carefully pick your sites to ensure adequate room between spaces. One of the most scenic and quiet parks that we have ever enjoyed.
